Nah, these guys get the bag. A lot of them talked about finally being able to move out on their own which is crazy if you look at home prices in cities people actually want to live in.

I can tell you from personal experience that many private offices only view domestic workers as more expensive versions of remote workers or workers on a visa. They only need to make pay competitive for people who don't already live here and they only need us on payroll for tax/legal. On the other side of the coin, look at all these big companies folding because investors are pulling out. This whole sector is a shit show but it's far from isolated. If you aren't affected, stay blessed. All I'll say is I didn't know what a good job was until I worked for my city which opens up other issues because now it makes sense why government can be so inefficient and crooked meanwhile contractors and lobbying being in bed is so effective.
