so many home theatre/sound system companies have either been sold or bought out, or gone bankrupt...or both. Nakamichi, Infinity, Klipsch, Pioneer (as a consumer brand), Onkyo, Denon, Marantz, Polk, JBL...
Sony and Yamaha might be the only two fuckers that still control their own brands in this market, and Sony doesn't exactly make great HT equipment, nor does Yamaha beyond their receivers. I don't think they've released a new speaker in decades.
