It's like the classic onrail shooter with weakspots to hit, projectiles, and parts to break, stuff like that. Sadly it's not as hyper as the real onrail shooter games like HOTD or Time Crisis unless you're fighting a boss.

eh, it's because of the autistic ass jiggle. fortunately enough you can turn it off and it's not as bad i get what you mean though. sound design is solid and story is pretty fucking wild too.
