Cover has had a mere 20 months since then. They definitely didn't count on EN1 being the kind of success it was, and probably had their fingers crossed for EN2 as well. Their upper decision makers are probably fucking terrified that when COVID ends stream numbers, SCs, and subs will just drop off a cliff, and shit themselves every time a scandal breaks thinking it might be their last.
Pretending Cover is a powerhouse is hilarious. They're riding a huge wave and look invincible and a 'foregone conclusion for success', but their growth could collapse at any time. If you had told people back at Kizuna Ai's apex that many of her videos would struggle to break 100K a mere four years after her creation they would have laughed in your face.
