Ame never willingly chose the role of leader or took it upon herself, it was thrusted on her as a necessity in the earlier days of Myth as a natural consequence of how no one else in Myth was stepping up to do this and the fact they are mostly introverts who do not have leaderly personalities (Kiara at the time was very insecure and going through various troubles so she hadn't realized her own leadership skills yet).
On top of this, Ame is both a saviorfag and also obsessed with the idea of helping other people by being a manager in the background fixing people and their problems - this combined with the power vaccuum created by the rest of the group's introversion and insecurities meant that the situation itself 'selected' Ame and she gravitated into the role by default, not by responsibility.

Fast forward to now, and there is no longer any need for Ame to fulfill this role as all of Myth have grown significantly and Kiara has largely progressed into being a more willing (but also sometimes begrudging) leader. This transition has made Ame somewhat listless and directionless as her saviorfag nature and fixer tendencies now have nowhere to go - this explains why she has somehwat holed herself up in solo streams and insisting on doing 'creative' streams or unique content as she is restlessly trying to fill the void of her previous role no longer being needed.
Her character arc now is discovering what she truly loves doing in terms of streaming and the way in which she is a friend to the others while facing the reality that she must stand on her own and pursue her own happiness without being purely self-sacrificing. Her solo performance at Holofes and her experience with this will be the ultimate test of this.

She's able to hop between dimensions, the most explicit proof of this being her birthday stream where buffson comes through a portal (other Ames can do it) and in "smol Ame visits the office" where she sends smol Ame to her own timeline (Ame can forcefully eject a person from a timeline)
