I'm not the audience for male chuubas so idk if I can answer that.
From the pattern of what type of virtual male talents find success, it seems to be males-only idol environments with bishie guys just hanging out with their buddies and "platonically" throwing yaoi-bait hints from time to time.

Honestly, reading about this stuff, I kinda get why male VTubers fail so utterly no matter how much they try.
Women are somehow able to handle being cute with each other and even giving some fanservice moments, but I have yet to see a male chuuba who would not cringe at some of the shit their fanbase does.
I do get that it's fetishist and that it's not real, but when you (or the character representing you) is getting their ass blown open, there is definitely some part of you that will come to HATE your audience. Which would explain all the niji males who have lashed out at their audience for shipping and posting ships and shipping porn on their fanart tags.
I also get why Suisei doesn't like looking at her own lewds now.

Maybe there's some male equivalent of Kanata or Marine, men with female brains, where they have that natural inclination to do cute and lewd things with their fellow man.
Although I struggle to find a situation where it wouldn't be ultra weird to both parties.

I guess male VTubing might be kinda doomed...
