I stopped watching holos a year ago then felt nostalgic in recent months and wanted to re-watch some of them just to realize I cannot go back anymore, they are generally too limited in what they do, the collabs are nothing but dead air and the game variety is still the smallest out of them all.

the real reason I enjoyed them so much back then was because there was a huge community of fans making fun memes and art around everything they did, but that novelty passed out a long time ago, nowdays I enjoy chuubas that actually interact with their fans, can keep more interesting conversations during collabs and are much more open about their personal lives too.

lastly, I think there are still holos who are genuinely entertaining, in particular subaru and her close friends, FBK, okayu, korone, mio, choco, who are the original core of what made hololive popular in the first place, they are still doing their best and I respect them even today.
