/vt/ - Virtual Youtubers

I think I teared up a bit listening to Obsydia's Virtual to Live cover for the third time today. It's scuffed and Selen really can't pronounce Japanese, but all three of them worked so hard and put so much soul into today's anniversary celebration.
Rosemi's 'Who's that Twitter?' game show had some incredible moments, in part because she didn't think the rules through and it ended up almost a collaborative attempt to identify tweets rather than a competition. Petra's Fall Guy run was terribly scuffed because none of the members made it past the first two runs, but it was really fun watching them cheer on - and talk shit about - the fans representing them. And Selen's tour of ObCITYa was an amazing follow-up to NijiExpress and chock-full of cute references and fun designs. It's a pity that some of the other projects they planned weren't finished in time or aren't something they're satisfied with yet, but that just means I have more to look forward to.

Thanks for reading my blog. It's now been exactly a year since I discovered NijiEN. Things have changed a lot in my life and I don't have as much time to watch vtubers as I used to, but Obsydia still has a special place in my heart.
