This is very true for me.
The "Dragon of Hololive" had a huge story buff going for her y'know.
> Not monetized for a LONG time so had to live on salary, while making Asacoco every fucking day after her black company work.
> Introduced certain much-needed western internet common sense to holos, like not caring about numbers, not caring about whatever non-fans say about them, how to handle emotions when you were getting overwhelmed etc. Fubuki also helped a lot with this, but Coco was the first time we saw it up front, on screen.
> Good chemistry with literally EVERYONE else in Hololive, to the point that a "Coco collab" was something people immensely looked forward to. Her collabs also gave us a lot of iconic content like Migo's Statue of Liberty rant, the English telephone game, her heartfelt talk with Aqua after her yab, the marie antoinette clip with Watame, the clip where she teaches Rushia how to Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V (and bails her out of an Ark bug).
> When she finally got monetized, the fanbase showered her in money and affection, her chat was ALL superchats for 15 glorious minutes. An immensely cathartic story arc conclusion.
> Asacoco CMs are still a timeless classic that can still be enjoyed.
> Mini segments within Asacoco gave us a bunch of unique content that has unfortunately been mostly forgotten, like Korone's "Yakuza word" corner, Luna's "English Classroom" etc.
> Constantly banned/demonetized etc. and generally shat on by Youtube, giving her a lot of "struggling against all odds" story energy.
> Made story arcs using short videos and other members' help every time she had one of these incidents, solidifying her fanbase behind her, and appearing like a cool Yakuza anime girl all the time.
> Most kino one was during the time Youtube disabled her livestream capability, she was "put in jail" and all the other members "visited" her during jail and had all sorts of fun shenanigans.
> When she finally got it back again, she had a whole fanmade video welcoming her back, along with messages from all the members, all themed like welcoming a Yakuza boss who got out of jail.
> The hair removal streams were not my thing, but some people liked it. And if nothing else, it was something fresh.

Her content towards the end of her reign WAS getting quite stale, so I can understand why she felt like quitting, but those first 6-7 months until the zhang spergout were absolutely magical for VTuber related "la creatividad" tier content.

KSon... well she doesn't really have any of that. She's not struggling against anything, she doesn't have anything she's fighting against (other than the self-supposed "hostage situation" and her other delusions), her non-holo collabs haven't given us any kino moments, and in general she just doesn't have any story going for her.
It's no wonder why some Coco fans wouldn't watch KSon. It's really not the same at all.
