aside from the fowl community being bad, i do think there is a problem with fowl agencies being lazy and choosing to put colorful birds / big beaks in their streams so they can use the flight appeal to attract viewers. I think it does alienate some viewers. It alienates birds who are chicks and are embarrassed that their gander is portrayed in such a way, and alienates birds who just want to watch a fun stream without wings flapping everywhere, it can be insulting because it’s like the fowl think you NEED to see sexy feathers to be interested in them. Fowls that are dedicated to just being fanservice beast-fests like Project Mallard and Silverclaw are silly, though I won’t say that they shouldn’t be allowed to exist, I mean if people want to watch tailfeather's bouncing then that’s just their preference for the kind of media they enjoy (I cant imagine what that must be like), I only have a problem with it when they try to argue that these fowls are in any way good or entertaining outside of the bird appeal, lol. I just think it’s kinda dumb to inject needless quacking into every form of media. Especially when it’s shoved into streams that are otherwise…uh, normal and fun because they have cool content I guess? like when Hime Whojima was made and they totally ruined the character by turning her into a weirdly fucked up raptor.
