No, I agree bringing the "collaborative" part of "collaborative writing" is pretty great. It gives an excuse to discuss aspects of someone else's lore while you write their inclusion, and it gives an excuse to have them read it after to make sure you did it properly, both of which drive activity in the thread. I tried to do it, but I should probably have done it more. I guess it's just a bit more effort than retreating into the autismcave and writing away, so it doesn't come naturally to me.

Yeah, same, more or less. I don't reeeeally mind just writing into the void, but there have been times where it felt like I was keeping the thread up just to have a place to post my lore in rather than for anyone else, which felt like an exercise in observing my belly-button. You helped it feel less lonely in here for which I'm thankful. But I don't think two contributors make a thread. More recently someone was working on /jidf/ which made me happy.

/nasfaqg/ had a bit of a revival recently, nothing really happened but some active new blood made it in and brought some activity with it. One issue is that the barrier to entry for vtwbg might be a bit higher (making OC vs starting a nasfaq account and buying coins).

If you had a system with good production values (like nice graphics and stuff) and you marketed it a bit (by making some non-vtwbg catalog threads and posting in some larger generals, like LOTB or Ogey Calibur), I think you could find a lot of anons be interested in participating. Participating in a quest is a lot more accessible than writing lore. If you'd like to workshop this more I'd be happy to help.
