Ah, fight scenes always end up being longer than I expect. Guess I'll finish it tomorrow. Space battles are fun though. Check this https://youtu.be/LZhvZZ43DDE

Wrote a few chapters of story about mecha, deadbeats and saplings. Let me know what you think. Or don't, that's okay too.

I wanna write something about One Piece now... Can't wait for the announcement.

Archive under space, /morig/. Little entry to introduce how the brain of a crab-mecha works.

I kinda just slapped numbers for the MIQ corresponding to the various capabilities, not sure they (or the ordering) make a great amount of sense. Might give that part a bit more thought.

I'm just a sucker for anything with in-depth mecha customization. My life will probably fall apart when the new Armor Core comes out.

>solar flare hits
Yeah, I expect that would put a really interesting evolutionary pressure on lifeforms. Lots of burrowers? Natural anti-radiation keratin plating? Besides a whole lot of dark purple.
>I don’t think Despina would have a large moon since the tidal locking and strong gravitation from the star would break or throw the moon out relatively fast. Having a ring would be fun although I think Despina’s too warm to have a natural shiny ring
That makes sense! How does the warmth of the planet relate to the shininess of the ring? Frozen water is needed for that?
Something fun I learned a while back, planetary rings are a lot more transient than one might think, Saturn's rings might have disappeared in "just" a hundred million years.
>the bioenngineering’s there mostly to justify me copying Earth species and having monsters to fight in mechs
the most worthy of motivations for anything

That's true. Maybe a chuubanitic circuit needs to physically connect the brain and the prosthetic, to act as a carrier for the conceptual signal and bypassing the Heavenly Realm. Or some chuubanitic machine (an antenna) is needed to actually transmit the commands from the user to the Heavenly Realm before they can be received by the prosthetic...
But yeah, stuff like mechas or power armor would clash with the aesthetic of everything else, besides other issues. Chuubanitic mechas would be reserved for CyberVitubia40k or a similar alternate timeline kek.

Maybe I can find a class like that, could be fun.
I'll order a cheap high grade to build along with her next one, that stream was fun as fuck and I got FOMO when I didn't have a gundam to post on her twitter.

Nickel just popped in that sentence because I think it's cool as fuck, but I agree, nickel alloys would be a bit anachronistic. One of the biggest reasons modern steels are stronger than older ones is because we got much better at removing defects and impurities from our billets. Even with the same nominal chemical composition, two pieces of steel can vary a lot in strength if one has a lot more defects (porosity, cracks, variations in carbon concentrations, laminations). I think perhaps /mhm/ could have fantastic alloys through having metallurgic processes that reduce the amount of defects and impurities extremely well, as opposed to using a different "recipe", which could be easily replicated by other nations.
And that's without getting into magic stuff, obviously.
