theres a pseudo-random cash in frequency that you can set and it lets the ai choose when to cash-in with an increasing chance every "week" (a week being every time op sets up matches so usually twice a stream) making it so subaru had held onto the briefcase for over a "month" in universe
technically the mitb holder is able to jump in at any point during the match but thanks to >2k programming the game generally waits until the normal title match is over which will always be a squash match to let the winner keep some stamina for round 2 before starting the walk-in
