Finally came clean to some of my IRL friends about my mother's death.
I hadn't seen them in a while, and when we did meet up, I'd kind of avoid the subject as to not bring things down. Plus they're dealing with their own things, you know? Didn't want to be selfish and make everything all sad, but once they directly asked, it felt good to not have to dance around why the house is so quiet now.
