Welcome to /vsj+/! A thread to discuss VShojo, and any vtubers frequently associated with them.

Pretty much all of VShojo is planning to re-debut at some time over this year and the next. The first was Nyan. Then Vei. Then Bubi, who's not VShojo but got the star treatment the same as the first two. And now it's finally time for the next, after the initial debut plans were pushed back from the start of this year until today, which is coincidentally also Zen's birthday! While the (former) red dragon may not pull the same insane view numbers as those who came before, it's hard to deny how beloved that giant ponytail has become throughout this thread and the greater Twitch vtubersphere. While the TTS is initially filtering for many, the very consistent streaming schedule has won over tons of initial skeptics as the only VShojo more consistent in delivering streams period is Mouse. There's been plenty of ups and downs over the past year, but Zen stocks have steadily risen so it's only natural that a hugely hyped debut would be a big deal.

Another thing that makes the debut so exciting is how drastic the change is. Gone is punk rock dragon with a ponytail as big as a Christmas tree in favor of a sleek, new, robotic design. Out with a mane of red hair wild enough to reach the knees, and in with a completely new, shorter hairstyle that's white instead. The new model is obviously the biggest draw, but there's a Vei-level of changes going on here. New emotes, new stream overlays, and a new intro song that's bound to be just part of the Zentreya experience. And even people who don't care about Zen will probably still hold some level of interest in the upcoming lore video, as they've all been pretty interesting so far. While initially not part of the shared lore that the others were doing, that's since changed and Melody has confirmed that she'll be tied into Zen's lore in some way as well so look forward to that.

All this to say the debut is starting very fucking soon from when this is being written. Or maybe it's live now and you should be watching it instead of reading this. Who's to say. What matters is that birthdays are generally good streams. New debuts are generally cool as fuck. And today being both makes it likely to be both the only stream of the day, as well as a pretty good one. So hang out, enjoy the new look and features, and make sure to keep things comfy and civil by ignoring and especially reporting bait, and being excellent to each other.
