Otsonny!! I enjoyed our second installment of Only Down today, nice little stream to return with (again). I will say that the game generally took a back seat to zatsu this time, hooray for multitasking! Anyway, he started off by going to that first mountain again and working on some challenges. Gotta go fast... I am still having fun watching him try to scoot down cliff faces and run into the same trees repeatedly right after checkpoints. He also unlocked night mode and messed around a bit with that? Damn this shit really does have more features than you'd expect. After getting used to the controls again he did become more talkative, basically doing a recap of the week... much like I already did last thread, so I won't elaborate too much here. When he was talking about smash he mentioned wanting to get a little better at the game so he could take home some proper wins next time. Sonny, if you actually put in the proper time to git gud at as many games as you talk about wanting to, you'd never have time to stream. This transitioned into a little discussion about how smash is so different from regular fighting games which I thought was fairly interesting, and y'know sonny, i agree that landing those falcon punches was better than any victory. With virtualfes, I'm glad he had fun. He still seems pretty awestruck over witnessing fans in real and talking to an actual audience instead of words on a screen... i think it (along with M&Gs) must serve as a good reminder every now and then of the impact you actually have on people, especially for someone who still fights imposter syndrome like he does. He was also kinda cute mentioning the control he had over the crowd in those moments, hopefully I'll be able to salute him in real someday too. Looking forward to more performances in the future! I enjoyed hearing his experience with Leos' mini live, I can't believe he really just went to the studio and knocked out the recording in like an hour. He also talked some about how neat it was to see how they did things in the studio, his description kinda made it sound like job shadowing kek. Also a lot of praise for his senpais here, he had nothing but good things to say about those two— both great, funny guys with an awesome stage presence. Has he talked much about watching yashiro a lot before? Once again, I'm very happy he got this opportunity and that it was a good experience for him... and he did confirm, sonny 3D WILL happen, it's a threat. I guess it's just nice to hear about this after all the uncertainty and disappointment this year, makes me excited for what's to come no matter how long it takes. He did talk some about b2 world along with a brief mention about the new accounts, doesn't seem like he plans to do a ton with his (vague talks of having some sort of content on there) which is probably for the best. Outside of his Weekly Recap he did find quite a bit to talk about, a good chunk of which was meta... but oddly enough it didn't stress me out as much as it used to, I'd say generally it was more reassuring if anything. Discussions about content, his autism with on-stream bits, the pressure to entertain and playing games on-stream vs offstream (his unending disdain for chillashit.....), it's a little hard to paraphrase it all but I'm just glad he's becoming more comfortable in his niche over time. Yes sonny, there is in fact an audience that likes you BECAUSE you do things in unconventional ways and are willing to risk frustrating your viewers to achieve something. Now finish DS2 so you can stream 3, faggot. Oh yeah, still playing the bike game through all this and he's moved onto the third mountain by now, vaguely arizona-looking or perhaps something out west, and he got a new bike too. The last big topic for today was language interestingly and it was neat enough to listen to; he talked about quite a few different things and shared some of his own experiences regarding accents, learning language, etc. I quite liked his little anecdote about realizing he was somewhat conversationally competent in JP one random day while having an imaginary conversation with himself in the shower (thank you for the specification that you were naked). Sonny learning German is a pretty funny thought... oddly his pronunciation seems decent enough on the few times he's brought up the language on-stream, and yeah sonny, dealing with articles and adjective endings is probably easier than learning a whole new writing system that you can never completely master... probably. Fun stream today, it was nice to hear him imparting his wisdom unto us and again, just in general I like hearing about his own life. I'm glad he has a lot of ambitions, even if he's slow to achieve them... I'll try to be patient. Thank you sonny, I'm glad to hear you'll have a POV for zomboid later this week and I'm glad you're still having fun with SF6. Sleep well and see you later for one last long botw stream before the finale! o7
