I...would just give him room to grow more, maybe now he feels less pressure to put up a front? idk I'm not in his mind. I do understand the frustration tho, it's one of the reasons why I felt like I needed to put distance between him and watch him less consistently. I miss the unapologetic parasocialness he displayed at the beginning but I understand why he doesn't want to feed into that now. I got my first one at 27 since I'm not sexually active. Just make sure the doctor lubes the pap smear really well and let them know if it hurts or you're uncomfortable. If they can't get the pap in there's ways to loosen your vagina or worst comes to worst they can like numb that area to do it. Np, it's interesting talking about. Even though there's lots of otome media out there it's still pretty niche and the ones that tend to get the most popular and talked about tend to ride the line of yume and fujo pandering since it min maxes the joseimuke audience best as opposed to fully committing to one. Not to mention that if you don't already know jp then it's even harder to come by in eng speaking circles, if not often shamed away. I used to be pretty fujo but once I really became aware of yume seriously being a thing it made me realize how many bl ships I liked because it's all the content that some of my favs got. I'm still surprised (though glad) to be around so many yumes here and if you ever need help I know they'll be happy to provide input!

I more always just stuck with my small friend groups for fandom stuff majority of the time and the one time I joined a discord to see what it was all about it was enough to never make me join a discord ever again. I feel like I missed out on LJ's prime time but what it had was really nice and I do miss it a lot. I was actually a bit worried that this split would end up terrible too but it's been really nice so far, everyone gets along relatively well regardless of who oshi who's or if you're yume or fujo or both.
