Astel is a unique case, he changed his model for lore reasons. You know how a character gets a new outfit halfway into a story? It's like that. Unlike everyone else, his OG outfit hasn't been memoryholed, it's still on the official site and he still uses it for certain things (one major thing in particular is it's now the main look of the "other" Astel in his lore).

Anon I don't know if you only wanted that from an EN talent, and admittedly he doesn't really play his character during streams (though sometimes he'll shout out attack names from anime he likes), but I just need to take the chance to let everyone know Astel is big on his lore and he had a whole chuuni shounen battle in his anniversary stream. That other Astel he's fighting by the way, Astel said if he was a gacha character his title would be SSR [Ruler of the Universe] Astel and that he's as strong as Thanos.

I think it's interesting that Astel also revealed there are two of him from different dimensions, but the reaction was completely different from Aruran. Yes other Astel looks the same and isn't replacing our Astel (though he did fucking kill him and any fans who loved OG Astel kind of have to accept he's "other Astel" now) but just the idea that there are two Astels was met with positive reception and his fans are having fun talking about it and making fan content of them. I haven't seen Aruran fans take much advantage or have fun with the fact there are two or multiple universe Arus even though that's canon. Astel's talk on derivative content comes to mind.

Also I'm not trying to direct any hate towards Aruran, I personally don't mind the change and I like him, but his approach really worked against him and it's too bad.

If it wasn't obvious Astel's singing was all live, he thinks stuff should be performed live and doesn't think it's fun if it's prerecorded.

The special voice in the OST is important, he actually wanted to put it in the live but there was no time.

In 2023 he either wants to do episode 0 for every member on how they met Astel or episode 0 for this dimension's Astel (evil Astel). But then he said those ideas are supplemental content and the main plan for 2023 is Astel Code crossover? What Seaweed.
