Only when the keyfabe results in actual creative stream bits. Nyanners had a very promising eldrith keyfabe that involved a bunch of "clone" characters she would play which resulted in some pretty kino bits (in 2020-2021). Dropped it eventually and I'm still mad about it.

It really is just schizotic, but there's also a bit of the "five monkeys experiment" thing going on in /vt/ where newfags will jump on the hatetrain without thinking much of it because they see everyone else do it. Unfortunately, that means they miss out on what I truly, earnestly believe is one of the funnier and more creative VTubers out there. Even when she's not doing crazy unique things on her streams, everything about her warms my heart and makes my day better.
