I heard a man once say, "I don't know how much "it is what it is" I have left in me.
I didn't know what he meant at the time. But hell, I do now.
Maybe I should embrace unhappiness. Become a mountain instead of a man.
But the other part of me tells me I shouldn't forget moments like these. That they're what all my pain strives for. Neither to use pain as fuel, nor to embrace the pain, nor to remember the good times during the bad, or covet good moments over painful ones, nor the opposite, but instead to just treasure the simple happiness as it comes. And to let it go just as easily.
I'll figure it out one day, until then I'm just antigonish. We drift here, and drift there, no different from wandering spirits. But so long as we do it freely, gladly, then we are alive.
