Hello everyone, OG Numbers anon here. I finally got bored enough that I started digging into an ongoing topic of shxtou's numbers slowly eating shit over time. We've had a hypothesis for a little while of the root cause but I decided to cross reference some stuff to finally come to a reasonable, provable conclusion on what has happened to him

For this I looked up the start of his major ascent in march of last year to current time, basically a year-to-year look, to see his CCV in that time. Next, I rounded up the major debut days for the corpo male vtubers. The results are clear as day: what cause shxtou to drop off was every new wave of male vtubers introduced more competition that began to eat directly into his fanbase, leading to his slow spiral downward. We all suspected this may be the case, but this is a visual representation of it: The Holostars and Illuna debuts were both mid July and that's when the hemorrhaging started, making him lose 1k CCV per month for 3 months straight, and after he started regaining some traction in november, Xsoleil brought in Hex and Ver to cause another significant drop for him, which by the looks of it he is currently still on.

The trend doesn't look to be getting any better for him either: while he did hit 1 million followers on twitch, it's followers who don't watch him live and he's currently just eeking out a 4k average for the month, which is in large part due to pulling 6k on his 1 million followers party.

I had been trying to give him the benefit of the doubt that it's just viewership stabilization but at this point the proof is that we are seeing the worst vtuber fall off probably ever, especially on twitch side. Other's had viewership stabilization but not to the tune of "I lost over half my viewership and never gained it back". The man's going down in flames and the more corpo males that get release, the worse its gonna get.
