>Controls are skintight. Feels great to play. Every command, every action feels good. Doesn't feel clunky or painful, even with the enemy abilities and skills
>Gameplay and level design are excellent. Everything is cohesive. Good elements of freedom, can take different approaches
>Visuals: most beautiful game to date. Looks surreal at times, Metro Kingdom in particular is jarring but it still works. Mario doesn't look out of place in all the kingdoms
>Music was great, lots of throwback tracks (Super Mario World shoutout) Final music with some of Bowser's theme was excellent
>Loves the callback to Pauline and Donkey Kong
>Enemies were varied and impressively fleshed out
>Fun bossfights. Really liked Bowser battle with the punches (loved it the most, even more than 64)
>Liked the side characters and the ability to BE some of them
>Interesting how they integrated the platforming with the level design
>Found the wedding story cute and liked it and how it emphasized that Bowser just loves Peach
>Maybe things could be better (room for improvement), but nothing was bad.
