This is true but to be fair it's still a big opportunity, she could have networked within the company and leveraged the brand name to attract new viewers and grow her community.
Tho it seems like that wouldn't have worked for her in the first place since she didn't really fit in any of the social cliques or into NijiEN culture.
Like I am not trying to be overly political but Nijisanji retweets rainbow flag art, makes tweets about being allies, has openly gay members, has a history policing tone and speech of their audience and has them openly criticizing capitalism.
I don't think I need meds when I say they are on the lefty/woke end of the spectrum.
And Zaion's jokes just do not fit with that sort of group, they don't fit with the other NijiEN members or their audience or the image the company is trying to cultivate.
She might have fit better into a more "problematic" sort of corpo where the girls are more prone to being politically incorrect and saying controversial shit for shits and giggles and at worst just get a message by management and post a PR written apology on twitter and move on. This all would have been a nothingburger elsewhere.
Just let this be a learning opportunity for future vtubers:
If you join a corpo pay some attention to the do's and do not's of the company, their politics, their social norms and culture and their audience's.
