Everyone talks about KFP being a cult, but we are missing the obvious point. Ina is trying to make a cult. She applies all the strategies of a cult and it goes over everyone's heads. The point of this kind of manipulation is to instill a learned helplessness in her viewers. Nothing they do matters as to how much affection Ina will give them. Soon, she will be able to get them to do anything for the slightest chance of acknowledgement. Takos always talk about how "Ina motivates" them. Cults are an excellent source of motivation. There are plenty of stories of cult members joining institutions and rising to the top because of their devotion to whatever crazy shit they believe. This post isn't an insult, but a warning. Don't give in or you won't be able to choose. The gestures start out small, but they grow in magnitude over time. If you create a sufficient regimen, you can get a gorilla to pull a lever hundreds of time for a dose of cocaine.
