>Reine scrolled through her timeline for what felt like the hundredth time. Her phone offered as little comfort this time as the last, but Reine remained unabated. She knew she should stop; photos and updates of all her friends having fun and living their lives only made the contrast of her own dull evening so much worse. She had spent her day taking care of her cat MC, and was now too exhausted to do anything other than lie on her bed. She cared for her cats more than anything else in the world. Maybe that was part of the problem. She thought about streaming. Streaming made her happy, made her feel like she was special. And even if she would never tell them, she did care for her chat. They always supported her, and she knew all she did was for them. Even still, streaming required energy, an energy she did not have. With a sigh Reine turned off her phone and rolled over on her bed to stare at the ceiling. Reine felt like she was missing something, like something was wrong but didn't know how to verbalize it. More than anything, she felt alone, secluded. Just then, a small scratching came from her door. Excited for a reprieve from her monotony, Reine rushed to open the door to see which of her cats it was. Her quick steps betrayed her, however, as when she opened the door she saw her cat had fled out of fear. Reine stood a moment in shock, but soon smiled. Her cat may be gone for now, but she would be back. As would her friends. And her audience. All the things that made her happy will return, and with that thought, Reine was finally able to rest.
