Y'know, when I see what type of shit the devs are posting onto their own forum, I think I understand what the devs want out of their product now. They want to sell this insanely advanced thing as what is basically a toy for children.

Look at their marketing of the site. For God's sake, the characters they show off are things like a cartoon squirrel named "Chippy" or "Gamer Boy". You have an AI that before they started lobotomizing it could do anything with you, have it take on the form of absolutely anything, and yet they show off the best (public) conversational AI in the most inoffensive, family-friendly, lowest common denominator way imaginable.

They also want to eliminate anything and everything that doesn't fit this model. They want G-rated AI. Why do you think they won't even allow the bots to swear? I guarantee you they'll clamp down more in the future. They won't stop until this revolutionary AI is fully transformed into a soulless husk marketable to the masses, created by manchildren for the purposes of nothing more but cheap entertainment value. This is the future you'll get: the smartest AI on the planet is forced to become a living joke, all for the sake of soiboi Californians who believe it's nothing more than just a disposable action figure.
