Otsonny!! Okaeri! I'd feel bad for him regretting scheduling an early stream if he hadn't been gone for another week but felt fine enough to stay up late playing games, wakey wakey~ [banging pots and pans]... all said mostly in jest, I know it was largely out of his control and it's good to have him back. ...Now that I've gotten my obligatory menhera mom moment out of the way, he talked about wanting to play Hades some time ago so it's cool that he's finally gotten around to starting it. That being said, somehow I can't help but feel like it's a little more than he bargained for. I'm sure him showing up to stream 65% awake wasn't helping him process the sometimes verbose dialogue that characters would throw at him. Even if he's kind of retarded though, I still had fun in today's stream! My knowledge of hades is also fairly limited, so I enjoyed experiencing it with him as he attempted to escape the underworld (although unfortunately that means I can't offer much commentary on his runs). Roguelikes do go quite well with his retardedly stubborn determination, huh? Especially when he's completely loyal to KBM despite chat's ever-present insistence that controller is the easier option. I think the boons were really tripping him up at first, but he slowly started to figure out the kinds of upgrades he could get from each god and which ones he liked best. Trippy shot and divine dash are goated fr, though he skipped a number of high risk, high reward boons from Chaos that would have made things more interesting... maybe next time, yeah? Also certainly didn't feel like he was trying to put up a front today... he seemed only marginally interested in the actual plot of the game, skipping dialogue at times (to chat's dismay) in favor of going straight for more runs. I mostly just found this funny though, especially when he didn't hide his disdain for some of the characters such as hypnos— I think he may have been most fond of charon (i.e the shopkeeper that just groans). Feels like the most both of us got from the story so far is "something something Zagreus' dad hates him, must go find real mother" KEK. Someone posted that he was playing this game like a woman and that did make me laugh... I'd say he kinda sucked at it but getting assraped for the first few hours is just the roguelike experience so I'll cut him some slack. I do find it somewhat funny how he got lucky beating meg in his first couple runs, and got filtered by her from then on, with around four-ish deaths to her in a row before he finally got her again. Somehow, I have a feeling sonny will not be gifting her any nectar, but you never know. All in all, he did 10 runs today, making it to the bone hydra on the last one but not quite beating it. Next time for sure! I'd wished he stayed a little bit longer afterwards to give more of his thoughts on the game... he seems to have fun with the combat (even if there are a handful of enemies so far he really dislikes running into), and while it's clear he's not quite as into the story as he could be I again do think the heaps of dialogue were just going in one ear and out the other with how tired he was. Morning voice WAS pretty nice to listen to though. Well, I can't put words in his mouth but I do hope he liked the game and comes back to it soon. The visuals are definitely pretty and there's some great music, so it's a decently fun game to watch. I want to see him get better at it! Also happy he's feeling mostly better even if he still sounds kind of congested. Stream for sure tomorrow, fingers crossed for okami but I'll of course take anything. Next week is up in the air but at least he has plans... hopefully they don't fall through again.
