I only find it cringe when people talk about wanting to move there because they think their lives suck where they are currently and view Japan as this perfect haven where everyone will love them and everything will turn around. In Bae's case, it's both an infatuation with Japan and also her work, so it isn't as insane or weird to me, but I still feel like it probably isn't a good long term idea, unless she is absolutely confident that she'd be able to leverage her position to a successful solo career there when she eventually has to leave hololive, but she probably has a good few more years before that's really a concern.

None of these recent debuts really have that kind of impact that Mori had in her debut that immediately planted HoloEN as a powerhouse. You can hate Mori all you want, but coming in and immediately dropping a full rap EP with music videos for all of the songs definitely made the strongest first impression any vtuber group could've made.
