>what would be considered the cutoff for a high-tier streamer?
What >>22540957 mentions is true and CCV is definitely not the "end all be all" metric for the relative success of a streamer.

I wouldn't use "top" as a qualifier either, here is how I would use this metric to assess the streamers, assuming at least 12 streams per month (3 per week)

>sub 100: Hobbyist tier.
Anyone doing it at this level for long enough time is doing it exclusively for his personal fulfillment

>sub 500: Amateur tier.
At this level a streamer is capable of bringing a steady income but not enough to do this full time

>sub 1k: Professional tier
Between 500 and 1k CCV is enough to do this full time and, with a smart business plan involving merchandise, membership and other income streams, even do this as a full time job

>1k-5k: Successful tier
Anyone in this range has made it. More likely than not a streamer in this range is signed with one of the companies or is known in the field for one reason or another

Pic related has the indies in this range. Anyone rubbing elbows with Kson, Tomari Mari and Gorilla Virtual is very comfortable in their trade (continues)
