Tea: Premium large golden bud Yunnan black tea
~5g sample in a 100 ml gaiwan brewed @ 100 degrees celsius
quick 3 second wash
10-12 second steep times

Yunnan black tea today, which is known for it's malty and sweet potato-y flavors. Dry leaf smells super malty with stone fruit undertones (think dried cherries). The wet leaf opens up and reveals more dried fruit notes with sweet honey undertones. The flavor is incredible with the malt and honey notes, and sweet potato undertones throughout the liquor. A little on the astringent side but otherwise goes down smooth.


Pretty good black tea, I would use more leaves then what the sample provided for a more full bodied cup but it was still delicious.
