Yeah no. Obviously you absolutely can dislike something and not secretly be that thing. But people who are obsessed with the things they 'hate' until it's obvious it's a big chunk of their makeup absolutely have something else going on.

Like, I don't like Harry Potter; so I don't think about it 99% of the time and when it does come up rather than throwing a hissy fit, I avoid it.
If I spoke about how much I hated Harry Potter all damn day until I talked about Harry Potter as much or more than an actual fan did and read Harry Potter books so I could hate them and wrote essays about how bad it is and woke up every day reading the harry potter forum so I could hate on other people who post there and talk about what I don't like about Harry potter and god he's so fucking dreamy with that scar - then yeah there's probably something weird going on there.
