I'll let you in on a little secret! I have a danbooru account I use exclusively to replace shitty twitter posts with proper pixiv "parent" links! Gasp! It bothers me too! I don't sperg out about it because I'm not so lazy or incompetent that rather than look for it myself, and "DO MY FUCKING REPS" I'd inconvenience and de-rail an entire thread! I'll let you in on another fucking secret! Did you know you can subtly sperg out about this kind of thing, when it actually matters and you're looking for things with a certain minimum resolution at that, without being a dick?! People might even appreciate it!!!

Multiple people have already mentioned that they're posting that shit because the originals are huge. On the one hand, we're retards, but on the other, you trust that we'd resize and/or recompress things properly...
I'm retarded, do you really trust me to do Akasa Ai's art "justice" by recompressing it or re-sizing it willy-nilly, or would you rather that people posted a pixiv preview, which is:
1. Already fucking indexed, and thus, inherently the easiest fucking thing to reverse image search.
2. Not at all over-compressed or lacking in detail.
