Here is an idea: Gangs of /vt/
Everyone sends their avatars but it is a group fight
Everyone gets paired more or less with someone of their level, each board sending a number of representatives, and the side who wins the most matches wins the whole thing.
5v5, 3v3, etc depending on how many people they send. If one side has less representatives they must fight all the challengers of the other one , but can only lose once. The more you send the better.
The rules for entering will be as follow
1) Avatar names and profiles hidden, we are as anon as we can be: there are options for the game itself.
2) You must go dressed as one of the memes of this general.
For you could go as a Newsposting Korone if you are from /doog/ or /vtr/ ,a Brazilian Ayame from /hlgg/ , an Argie lunaito from /luna/ , a figgerman from /lig/, or even Shimada or Coyo costumes for /Tekken Tuesdays/, /lig/ or /wvt/.This also will serve as practice for divegrass. If their thread doesnt have a meme from ours they can choose, they just have to go disguised as any meme of theirs related to fighting games. (there will be no "/fig/ gang" since we assume we are all from here so /fig/ will be just "hosting" the tournament)
I can also see a gang of Shimadas vs a gang of Coyos squaring it out in the ring even, as an internal competition, trying to claim victory for their oshi.
Would it be unfair because fighting game chuubas will have the strongest players? Yes. But gang wars are also unfair. This is not about fairness, its about showing who rules this town, either by numbers or by power.
I can see a single old fag from vtr who is now 50 years old and has been playing since SFII wiping 10 tigerbros in a row.
