This is surprisingly true.
Pretty much every single female I've encountered across the weeb community always goes two ways.
1. After discussing anime for a while they eventually just stop initiating conversations with you (likely after having already found someone to fuck).
2. The talk eventually devolves into flirty undertones --> which leads to sex when I reciprocate and to step 1 if I don't.
There's been at least 12 girls like this I've come across in the past half a decade and every single one of them followed this branching path.
Not a single one has remained "just a friend I can talk about anime with" past a year or two.
It ALWAYS goes down either of the two paths.

This was no different from Japan in 2018 when most of the "regular" Japanese media were treating VTubers like dogshit.
Sora, Fubuki and most of the early holos had to go through a lot of shit to legitimize themselves as actual content creators and tank a LOT of hate.
Arguably Mori is the only one doing so among the ENs, but even her notoriety and bigger sponsorships are centered on Japanese media (MGS, One Piece etc.).
Back in the day, holos were a lot more passionate about spreading their name and "legitimizing" the hobby, but anyone that tries to go "outside the box" into the mainstream nowadays will just get a ton of shit from within the fanbase for no reason.
So they'll have to get hate from outside (from normies and people that think VTubers are "cringe") and inside (from holofans that want to preserve the walled garden).
Sora, Fubuki and the earlier VTubers all had at least a guarantee that their own fans would support them in expanding outside their domain, but that guarantee simply doesn't exist on the EN side.

I guess it's just weird seeing girls like Pekora and Miko - who are complete spergs irl - put out highly entertaining content almost every other day... and then you come back to EN and their biggest chuuba is perma afk and their second biggest just focusses on her music and puts no effort into improving the stream experience...
Sora has been continuously streaming with very few breaks since 2017. That's like 6 fucking years. And she also does albums, recordings and a bunch of music related shit behind the scenes.
There's a reason no one shitposts against daisenpai, despite her being a "homo collaber" as some tards here would put it.
None of that shit matters when it comes to the #1 thing in this industry - love for your fans.

Sora LOVES her Soratomo and that comes through in pretty much EVERYTHING she does.
Koyori loves her Joshukun, and she streams for them almost every other day. She GRINDED her way into a position in the 2nd army.
Pekora adores her nousagi, and hates it when people shit on them. She also cherishes all the gifts she got from her fans (before the gifting ban).
Migo loves her 35p, even the 45p.
Onigiriya get treated to the ultimate GFE in Okayu mengen.
Korone abuses the fuck out of Koronesuki, but her fans know it's just her way of showing love.

It's not like the EN girls HATE their fanbase or anything.. but the amount of time/effort that they put into their content absolutely PALES in comparison to the majority of JP members.
Kaela jerry-rigged a PC/Laptop setup in Japan JUST so that she could stream to her fans during her 3D recording visit. Which EN girl would ever bother to go to such lengths?
And obviously the fanbase understands that it's probably not practical to do such things, or waste so much money just to be able stream for a week or two.. I doubt that Pemaloe would've minded Kaela taking a couple of weeks break for this recording - they have plenty of VODs to watch already.
But she didn't, because she wanted to spend time with her fans after recordings and talk about stuff or just chill and play games.

The only EN girls that are MAYBE like that, are Fuwamoco. Old Gura used to be like this too.. but nowadays it's pretty obvious that she's gotten tired of her fanbase and fame (maybe Bijou too).
The CGDCT group are "fine". Like, they put in what the job and the fans demand enough that they will continue having dedicated people support them.
But none of them go "beyond" that y'know.. you never really get that feeling of "damn, this girl REALLY loves us" sort of feelings with the first 2 EN gens.
You never get that feeling of GLORY that you get watching Marine and her friends replicate the entirety of the 80's Showa musical atmosphere with fucking VTUBERS.
You never get that rush of seeing Pekora building up a story arc, or setting up a tournament.
You never experience the sheer side splitting comedy of Migo or Korone laughing at the most absurd shit you can think of.
You never experience the pure JOY of seeing your oshi try their fucking hardest for (YOU)!

Maybe this is just pessimistic, maybe it's just a cultural thing of prioritizing yourself first and THEN others that sets things up like this.. but I just feel like it SHOULDN'T be you know? EN VTubers CAN and SHOULD be able to reach those levels.. I daresay they could even SURPASS some of them.. but I just haven't seen that same DRIVE from the girls that are supposed to be the DRIVERS of the branch..
I can only hope that Advent will prove me wrong in time...

Relationships are frayed. Reconciliation is difficult. Gura's health also takes a nosedive, so she just fucks off.
Her 3D gets gutted, perms list isn't growing at all, more and more stress. The bigger her break the more stress she has when thinking about returning.
On top of this, even some of her long time members start sperging. She obviously can't talk about what the fuck is happening internally since she has to maintain her brand.

Homos kicked out of discord, merged with JP management. Magni and Vesper sperg about it, get their asses suspended again.
So many of these issues were EASILY avoidable if they kept Stars management under JP from the start.

Nigga she was ALREADY a "huge star" in EN VTubing all throughout 2020 and even mid 2021.
Remember all the hype behind her, the overtaking of JPs, overtaking of Kizuna Ai, her Karaokes getting 100 fucking k viewers, and that hype even lasting for more than 1.5 years with her Cat Shark outfit?
My point is that she did a lot of legwork by just being present and streaming as much as a regular EN streamer is expected to for the first two years of her career, and was THE top VTuber for that entire time period.
And while she was streaming, she was given praise and accolade that she felt was undeserved, and wanted to just have a comfy small chat she could be more intimate with - hence leading to the increase in mengen.

But now that the "hype" is over, she's realizing that she has no "real" fans. i.e. There's no one that "oshi"s her. First thing she sees when she tweets or puts up a waiting room are antiposts and anti streams.
It used to be that straight up antiposts against her were the minority, but ever since her own fucking MEMBERS started shitting on her, she's pretty much lost that "hololive comfort" feeling, where holos on break are assured to have a comfortable fanbase they can return to, rather than a band of raving schizos that won't watch anyone other than you because there's no one else to fucking WATCH in the company, and chumbuds won't even TRY.

Why would she EVER want to return to streaming if that's the type of people waiting for her? People who straight up shit on her because she "didn't communicate", without even knowing how bad she is at doing her social media reps and how much she HATES posting on twitter due to this very phenomenon of shitting on anything that moves!

She's still the "number one", all eyes are on her, no one else has come up and taken her throne from her, either from Hololive or outside.
Is it any wonder why she prefers streaming on other holos' channels?
Where at least that fanbase can perhaps drown out the schizos, and menhera chumbuds will HOPEFULLY not stand out too much?
