You are absolutely on the right track friend, but remember that this market has already been tapped by Niji EN. Putting gay men aside for the moment (preferably by a Muslim while standing on the roof of a Mosque), we have to remember that females exhibit different attraction habits then males.

Males, such as you and I, find a female we are attracted to, often because of congruous values and desirable phenotype, and we become committed to that female until she (inevitably) demonstrates her true nature. At that point we, because of nature or God's will, move on to another female. In doing so we search widely, and not just the next available female.

Take, for example, the gentlemen on this board who have been scorned by their "oshi" (goodness, I find these unnecessary Japonisms intolerable!). After the female demonstrates her true nature, namely harlotry, these gentlemen do what they are naturally programmed to do: cut ties and move on to the next one. It is important to note that societies evolved to suppress harlotry, either through civilization (as the Aryans did), or through regrettable but necessary barbarism (as seen in Islamic lands). In summary, this is why female vtubers have become so populous; men move from mate to mate freely, settle temporarily, and then move again at their desire. As God intended (or nature; I care not for your faith, only your heritage).

What then do females do when they are attracted? Females are, by nature, hypergamous. They go for the top. If Shu Yamino was the alpha of Nijisanji EN, not Vox, and he had the most subscribers and viewers, then naturally more women would be going for him. The reason all the females went for Vox first was because he demonstrated the most alpha characteristics (deep voice, long association of British hegemony over his audience's ancestral lands, etc.) in his generation. Once this "lion" of a man revealed himself to be a pussy (both by not defending his Sinoid mates as well as not defending his Latina concubine), a significant number of the females moved to vtubers who proved to be more consistently masculine, such as Luca or Sonny.

You might make the mistake of thinking that therefore females are like males; they spread out widely, find a suitable mate, and settle? But no...the majority of female vtuber fans will only focus on the top 1th percent of vtubers. When lesser females realize they cannot compete with more seasoned lionesses for the top alphas, they will go down until they find the perfect fit. But this will still be among the top percentile of vtubers. This is why only male corpo vtubers have ever had any traction, and the only indy who has succeeded in gaining any traction was Shxtou, and then only through association (leeching) with Nijisanji EN.

Holostars EN has the benefit of having the word "Holo" in it, which would normaly carry prestige. However, past failures in Holostars has created a dent in their reputation. A male could overlook the past failure of an association and focus on the beauty of an individual member. A female could never do that; reputation means everything to them. Notice also the loyalty of luxiem female fans to luxiem, the successful starting group, and their lesser interest in noctyx, the following act.

Understand that Noctyx can only have Luxiem's sloppy seconds. Holostars EN will be eating from the sloppy seconds of Luxiem and Noctyx, namely poorer quality females who are unable to gain the attraction of their "oshi" (a third missile was warranted). The only way for Noctyx or Holo EN to succeed would be to actually fight and vanquish Luxiem, as our ancestors have had to do for generations in order to rise in the ranks.

Thus, nijisanji EN succeeded because they had precedent; successful vtubers like Kuzuha, Kanae, etc. have showed to females that the nijisanji male model is effective; therefore, in December 2021, females concluded nijisanji EN males will be effective. Holostars has no successful history and will inevitably fail.
