i'm a little late to answer this and sorry for the word vomit but for boys i started off watching mochi and chronoir (usually the case for many people), who i still watch to this day but aren't my oshi.
i found akina's first stream super adorable and endearing. his design is cute, but he's also very funny and i love his enthusiasm and how down he is for everything.
his relationship with listeners/chat is hilarious and i feel comfortable. his tweets are a bit cringe and he has his weird moments even on stream but i love him all the same. it's part of his charm i think.
his singing is very nice too, i think he's good at showing emotion through singing, and i like the gap he has between his silly and "stage" self (it's also funny/cute when he's just having fun doing karaoke and isn't taking himself seriously).
somewhere along the way he became my oshi, not sure i can pinpoint a specific moment but i eventually realized i was making more efforts to catch his streams and actually watching his archives from beginning to end.
he was my first superchat and membership. the 3d debut and major cd debut made me beyond happy. i wish for more great things happening to him in the future. that got longer than i wanted it to be.
