There’s a distinct difference between bloomers and granny panties, although many people tend to overlook it since both are large underwear and bloomers are seldom seen anymore, making the urge to roll them into a single category stronger. While they both share the same trait of being larger than the briefs, bikini cuts, or thongs that women typically wear today, the distinction between granny panties and bloomers is fairly large. Granny panties are form fitting in the same way that other, smaller pairs of panties are. While typically large enough to the point that they’re visible if a woman sags her pants low enough (sometimes even up to the belly button!), they still sit flush to the body, like a pair of large, full-coverage briefs. Incidentally, their size makes them excellent for wedgies! Bloomers, on the other hand, are designed to be worn in a style far more similar to men’s boxers, sitting loose on the body and typically only fitting tight around the waist and thighs. They’re notable for being poofy and covering much more leg than any other style of women’s underwear. Think of them as poofy spats, if that helps. Outside of a cartoon world, most people couldn’t tell you whether they’re good for wedgies or not, since nobody really wears them anymore! However, to give my own personal guess, I’d say they would wedge pretty well and provide a good amount of spin and discomfort, but wouldn’t stretch very much and reach their limit on pulling very quickly.
