Jesus Christ it was a lot, and I mean, a lot harder than I thought it would be to get a hold of a Japanese copy of DQ11.
Steam regions locks your ass, and getting a Japanese edition cd key to VPN activate was almost equally as hard, and the Japs don't use torrents so ahoying it was also not possible.
But unexpectedly using the Xbox Game Pass you can actually just region change your PC and search for the Japanese edition and download it from there, never did I think Microsoft would be the ones to make that process smooth.
So anyone who wants to try play through the game in Japanese can just do that.

Fuck, I'm so sad I couldn't be there live, what a great ending and man did she love it. She also needs to finish all the resource islands to reunite with the monster ship guys if I heard correctly and that would mean a lot of playtime more for her, although she'll probably mostly do that off-stream.
