I think I can see where you're both coming from in that regard. Having the overall draft and plot points mapped out I think helps a lot with managing periodic releases, but I also know that those are subject to complete overhauls just because you thought of something appropriate or cool that's new in the middle of your writing.
Depending on the degree of your edits, I think revising/enhancing previous chapters is alright, but mostly with what you mentioned about beautifying.
Posting the first chapter though can get you some really helpful feedback, which can help make your next chapters a lot better. There's a balancing act for the whole thing, and you ultimately gotta do what feels right for you.

Because I think any healthy relationship should have aspects that are separate from the other. If you do everything and share everything together, that becomes all you are, and it can be maddening. Yes, I want to share 90% of who I am with my wife because I love her and she completes that part of me, but I still need to just be me and have things that are solely my own.

I remember when I was starting out last year, I tried to pay close attention to how some authors here were writing to get me back into the swing of things. I used what I read from all those authors and their good prose to get a feel for how stories might start out and get written. For better or worse though, I strove to make my own styling and I'm happy with it and trying to find ways to constantly improve.

I gotta wonder if with all musical content creators if it's an actual mix of liking the song enough to cover it, and doing it out of necessity to be relevant and play along with the algorithm. Now, Gura is on the same spot, she lost interest on straming, she already made a bank and doesn't really need to stream anymore, so Cover is letting her stream whenever on her channel and the only obligation she have is appearing in concerts.
