I mean, the idea is you only want to overlook those flaws because you see them as a cute vtuber and project your fantasies of saving them onto her. If you met a woman in Millie's position in real life you'd probably avoid her because there are tons of women like this and they usually drag you down to their level instead of letting you fix them.
If it's just a minor personality flaw like Elira being shy then sure but when you're dealing with something severe like alcoholism or severe mental illness that runs in the family or financial debts then you need to be careful who you emotionally commit to because that's a long-term project that you can't just run away from.

Just entering into relationships with troubled people without a second thought just hurts them further and gives them abandonment issues when you inevitably get tired of your fix-it project and move on while they have nothing to move on to. Did none of you people bother watching/reading Welcome to the NHK? I could never fucking imagine doing that to someone, if I committed to saviorfagging for a girl I'd have to do it until the task is done.

Hell, this basically happened to me my entire childhood having to take care of other people's pets after they got bored and they had no one else to take care of them.
