it's a prehistoric animal. arthropod from the cambrian explosion, and probably one of the first highly mobile predator that we know of. its part of the extinct order of arthropods called radiodonta, so named for their circular mouth. anomalocaris specifically had compound eyes which allowed it to have pretty good eyesight, alongside two grasping appendages up front for grabbing prey. they ate mostly trilobites and such.
