I think I like Shu so much because he's the type of boy you'd have a heart-seizing, all-encompassing crush on as a teenager. There's a certain gentle quality to him, the kind of guy you'd go home after school with on those long summer days and laugh the entire time with, neither of you trying to get anywhere fast. Holding hands in secret so your friends don't tease you, tentative and sweaty palmed. It's a simple action but one that makes your heart race. You'll think about his smile and the way his fingers interlock with yours giddily as you go to sleep. That's the kind of person he is to me.
