The way I see it, originals and covers need to be separated because there's a lot of difference in creative intent and what goes into making each that comparing the two isn't really fair, especially for someone with as much music as Mori. That said, the cover is excellent and is likely up there with World's Continuation given some more time to digest.

I didn't get to see the MV until just now. What did they do to my rapping reaper? The MV, the lyrics, her mannerisms, the art, EVERYTHING... it's all cute and girly. It's not that her cover was bad either, it's really fucking good. Actually super idol-like. What did Kiara do to Mori? They girlified the local tomboy and made her a cute and soft speaking girl that dresses up in maid outfits. There's not a hint of the reaper who sung metal/rap songs just a few months ago anywhere in there. It's like one of those anime episodes where the scruff tomboy wears a dress for the first time in public, but permanently.
It's not fucking fair, man.
