Reposting the question here with some edits.
Now that there has been a trickling of vtubers leaving the threads I've started to wonder:
>Why do some vtubers leave while others stay?
>What is the motive behind those that choose to be involved with the threads?
>What are the conditions that prompted the exit for some and will others leave if subjected to those same conditions?
>If the latter question is no, why? What makes them different?
>Will the vtubers that leave still interact with those that stay?
>If yes, will the dynamics in their personal relationships change?
>Should a vtuber leave if their presence in the threads is looked at disparagingly by other vtubers?
>How will this affect the vtuber's community?
>Will viewers go with their favorite vtuber to other avenues and enjoy them where there's a better chance for the vtuber to interact with them?
>Do you think the recent exits would prompt a trickle down effect of more and more vtubers exiting the thread? Why or why not?
>Does this cast a new light on the possible functions, benefits, and disadvantages of both threads for both vtuber and viewer?
>Optional: Who do you think is most likely to follow suite?
