I like her a lot because I relate to her more closely than any other chuuba I've encountered. Same mixed race issues growing up, same issues with a mom who was never satisfied despite everything I achieved, same interests during undergrad (only difference being I went on to medical school, but we still both share an interest in research, and I loved her research paper stream) same place in being too normalfag for the hardcore hikki nerds but too nerdy and reserved for the true normalfags (of which there are many in medicine) meaning you don't fit in anywhere, same issue in having a phase where you tried to see if the stereotypical normalfag lifestyle was for you only to find that it wasn't, it goes on honestly.

Only differences was that I was never bullied (presumably because I went to good American schools and "bantz" isn't as big here as it is in England,) I mostly read short manga instead of watch seasonal anime, and of course, I never had problems with the opposite sex because I never got close to them besides acquaintances and work colleagues.

Felt like a rule 63 version of me. And if you pay close attention to her chat you'll find a lot of the same profiles, lots of Asians with strict parents, lots of grad students in research, the odd med student here or there, lots of people with great or prestigious positions that feel isolated from their more normalfag colleagues, the lot.
