OH LOOK! Another dumb post, that is being misinterpreted on 4ch... and you guys pretend you are better than reddit or twitter.

- Nowhere here does it say that there would be 'no new gens until old ones retire. It would be a contradiction in the first place, as their business model is in IP, and recognizability is proportional with age. Newwhere IP will never be as valuable as older IP, because older is proven.
- The article says clearly that they moved on from INCREASING REVENUE BY EXPANDING THE ROOSTER. Basically, they are not doing what Niji is doing, or more importantly, what they were doing between 2019 and 2021, when they had debuts every 3-6 months. The goal then was to increase the rooster and cover niches, and that resulted in profit. The more talents, the more fans, more add revenue and so on. But now, Cover is moving from that, and instead is investing more in each IP to increase it recognizability and potential revenue.
- This doesn't mean that there won't be new generations. And this would have been rather clear if you read the whole damn document. In the same Q&A, Cover mentions that they are actually planning several new gens/units in both JP and overseas.
- So yeah, we are definitely going to see EN4 sooner than later, as it is a necessary generation to add to what it is a rather small roster on the EN side. We will likely see a EN5 too, sooner than 2 years, and only after that are they going to slow down. ID4 is likely in the works too, and probably the first new gen we will see. And on JP side, I don't think JP7 is in plan, but instead, we will see at least one new Dev_IS gen like ReGloss, as they need more generations for them to truly become a distinct branch from Hololive.
