The numbers might be off, but I'm interested in general trajectory. I'm unsure if the up turn is due to her pumping shorts out for a month now. If you look at other girls pumping out shorts (especially coomer bait shorts) they have an upward trend for subs gained. The number doesn't matter as much as they continually get more subs.

You really underestimate visibility and how baity thumbnails get clicks. The only other thing that will get clicks in the west is certain games. Reina has now been doing the same thing as Nene with her shorts and now look at her daily sub count soar. You can easily see where the shorts started kicking in. You always need the initial click in the first place because not only are you competing against other vtubers, but just YouTube content in general that gets recommended. None the less people tend to stick around what ever streamers they enjoy thus less likely to search for other people if the person they like are streaming which in turn makes getting the initial click harder.

No, it shows that visbility is always and people initially tuning in is always the biggest hurdle. It isn't mentioning how good or bad the streamer is. Nene obviously found what works well for getting into people's recommendations and getting people to click. There is no doubt she worked hard for that. If you were to take away her shorts, would she have anywhere the amount of success she currently has? No, her growth would be significantly slower. Miori is doing the same thing. She mentioned her non-coomerbait shorts/clips don't get anywhere the amount of views to her coomerbait ones.

Coomerbait shorts work since YT is more likely to pass it around, has a click bait title, and is very minimal time investment for the viewer.

We will see. I believe it is being consistent with streaming and her coomer bait shorts. Reina is having improved subscriber growth due to her shorts. Her views has gone up as well, but if you look through her videos it's mostly through her shorts which of course helps with general analytics. I remember her hovering around 40 CCV and now gets over that.

As always visibility will be the biggest hurdle for video makers/streamers. Using sex to bait those clips will be the most effective way to lure people to you.
