otsonny!! it's really been over two months since he started this game, huh. i know there was a hiatus in there but damn time flies. luckily he got all caught up offstream and the last thing to do was ganon's castle, into which he went fairly unprepared. i hadn't even realized he never got fire arrows... after ignoring chat yelling at him and being purposely obtuse running around for half an hour he finally got them (+ did a couple other things) and went to take on the last dungeon once and for all. none of the barrier puzzles really gave him too much trouble save for maybe the fire room which was mostly a skill issue. i really wasn't expecting ganondorf to be that much of a problem... it was half-funny half-frustrating, RNG can be a bitch but im almost inclined to believe the switch controls actually are the problem with how often he was missing the arrow shots, dude was losing his mind and regressing to infancy over tennis. in general he was in a mood tonight though— kind of hyper/cute with a lot of random noises and voices, but i would obviously rather him be upbeat and at times mildly annoying than depressed. after running out of magic, committing suicide and taking another trip to that dreaded great fairy, he did the unthinkable... used save states (actually this time i don't blame him). i was kind of worried a fight in a children's game would take him as long as a boss like armstrong did but after beating ganondorf, malding at the final combat sequence with the tower and getting pissed off that he couldn't kill ganon with the megaton hammer he finally, finally completed the game. GG. he pulled through even though it gave him hell and im proud of him for that. this has definitely been one of my favorite series from sonny; it occupied the same weekly role as mario being a comfy, nostalgic, consistent stream i could expect some malding in (rainworld too to a sliiightly lesser extent). im really looking forward to majora's mask and i don't think it'll be too samey, it does a great job at reusing assets to make something that feels really different, but i wont complain if he wants to play botw first since he's been waiting to play it since debut and i know it'll be a blast.

karaoke still being up in the air is mildly upsetting, although i expected it since while he sounded okay he was complaining about his throat and coughing at times throughout the stream. manifesting a full recovery on his rest day even if i wont be mad if he ends up rescheduling... i just want him to get better. please take care of yourself taichou! rest well and i hope to see you on saturday! o7
