Anon, for all of their history they were given the same status as a foreign branch as they gave NIjiID and NijiKR including the same participation in events
Again, there is a fiscal distinction (being part owned by bilibili) but that's a backstage distinction without any relevance to what is considered "Nijisanji".
Actually, they're luckier than NijiID and NijiKR which got the "janitor closet" treatment and will be completed vanquished before VR even loses half their liverrs
