I finally got the chance to watch Sonny's Apex collab with Bobon, and I'm sure glad I did!
I've been looking forward to this collab since the very beginning, since Bobon's a frequent visitor to Sonny's streams and he mentioned the two of them playing off-stream Apex with Selen, too. They just always seemed like they'd be on the same wavelength, and it's nice to see my instincts vindicated - even more so since they turned out to be friends pre-Nijisanji, too! You could really tell that they're comfortable with each other from their wacky banter, and it was really funny listening to them improvise (?) lore explanations for their stories about how they knew each other.
Can't believe I'm saying this about one of Sonny's streams, but the conversation really was the highlight of this collab. Anyone watching this for Apex gameplay would just be disappointed because he just doesn't know what he's doing most of the time. At least he's figured out how to use his abilities and isn't trying to use charge rifles at close range any more, but he really needs more experience or someone to talk him through a few games. Please get good, Sonny. I want to see you, Bonbon, and Selen play together.
Let's ignore that, though, because he knows he played like shit and still enjoyed it because it was fun. This really was the two bros hanging out experience. Bouncing random voice impressions off each other while meditating tongue-in-cheek on the struggles of competitive gameplay, like both of them going 'literally me' at their teammate named 'i solo push then blame team.' Dumbshit gameplay while complaining about how much you suck, more-than-slightly homoerotic shitposting, and having extended ridiculous tangents - like that entire long conversation about washing your hands in the bathroom where Sonny kept steadily upping the ante from 'I wash my hands after I pee' to 'I wash my hands in the toilet while peeing' to 'I drink water out of the bidet' with a completely straight face. This guy's retarded sense of humor really lines up so well with my own. It makes me miss playing with my own bros...

Thanks for listening to my TED talk. I'll be watching VODs mostly this week since every stream's at an awful time for me, and it feels weird essayposting about a stream that isn't currently on - but I really wanted to talk about this one.
